Biography:

 

Having grown up in a small town in southern Maine, Carl was fortunate enough to have ample opportunities to play in Maine's  natural landscapes. After running cross-country, indoor, and outdoor   track all throughout high school, he eventually stumbled upon a  relatively new fitness system called MovNat(R) (short for Natural Movement) in college (2010), which immediately clicked with him.

 

Applying his experience with barefoot running, rock climbing, and slacklining, natural movement became the obvious next step for him which encompass elements of each of those disciplines. He has been training regularly and passionately in the MovNat method since then, and continued his training by completing one of the first MovNat certification workshops in August of 2012.

 

Prior to discovering MovNat, Carl suffered from a few relatively   serious injuries. Using MovNat's progressive, biologically-appropriate method, Carl has been able to strengthen the injured areas to the point where they are now stronger than before. Carl seeks to share his training to help others realize their innate strength, mobility, and freedom that comes with Natural Movement training.

Carl believes it is everyone's birthright to be happy, healthy, and free. As children, we all experience this feeling through playing and physically participating with the world around us. Modern life teaches us to stop playing and sit down for long periods of time.   As a result, our bodies and spirits suffer. Carl's goal is to reunite   people to their natural child-like curiosity through natural movement and play.
